The old world flooring used throughout are the result of nature and man working together to create unparalleled masterpieces for Little Hawkins Island.

The reclaimed antique heart pine flooring has its own character, grain, knots, and original saw marks yielding a floor that hides wear rather than highlights it. The inevitable nicks, dents and scratches of real world living blend in to contribute to the beautiful aged patina. The “dirty top barn wood flooring” was reclaimed from the Georgia Manufacturing Factory in Columbus, Georgia built in 1897 and closed in the 1950's.

Spanish terra cotta tiles hand made by artisan potters in the South East of Spain are used to further enhance the old world style. The specific clay soil of this region provided the perfect palette of colors to merge the natural beauty of the Golden Isles with the interior design.
